Good morning and welcome to a special edition of the Martin Rehab Advisory and the Paul Martin's Crucial Conversations. You'll notice that I'm standing here in front of this green light behind me. And this green light, I see it every morning. And this is one of our neighbors who father was a veteran as was mine. And they were both lucky enough to have served and have come home to their families. But today is a day that we're remembering those who were not so lucky. You know, Memorial Day is it's one of those times for reflection, for gratitude, remembrance.
It's a holiday when we pause to honor the courage and the commitment of those who wore our nation's uniform but did not make it back. And we remember these brave men and women because they gave everything to protect the freedom that we often take for granted. So this weekend, every light like this green one behind me, every flag, every parade, every salute, it's a testament to their sacrifice. And it's a way for all of us to say we remember you and we're grateful and we honor you.
This weekend as we enjoy and I will as well enjoy family and friends, let's also dedicate at least a moment to those who have made this ultimate sacrifice for us. So again, I encourage all of you to find your own way to honor these heroes. It might be visiting a memorial. It might be prayer. It might be participating in a community service or simply lighting a candle. Whatever it is, let's keep the memory of those who gave their lives for our country and let's put it at the forefront this weekend.
So, as we wrap up today, just take another look at that green light. It shines out of respect and remembrance. And it's not just on Memorial Day. This light shines every day. I know. I walk and I run by it every day. And finally, to all those who have served and sacrificed, thank you. Thank you all for joining me today. And until next time, take care and keep honoring our heroes. Thank you.
