Good afternoon and welcome to another episode of Paul Martin's Crucial Conversations. I'm Paul Martin and I am the founder and president of Martin Healthcare Advisors and I am really excited to announce today that we are launching a second series on innovation. One just wasn't enough. Now, this time we're going to turn our attention to some of those innovators out there who are developing new technology and some of these technology advancements are enhancing a patient's home program significantly. It's also some of these innovators are adopting ways to enable a patient to get their therapy on an app on their phone, full physical therapy.

We're going to explore that. Also, there are devices that are helping physical therapists in their clinics diagnose as well as show objective appro improvements in patients condition, especially in balance. So, in this series, we're going to uncover how these innovations, first of all, how are they evolving? How successful have they been? And we're going to talk to the owners of these companies to understand how successful are these companies and the impact that they're going to have on the way traditional physical therapy is viewed as well as the way in which it's delivered.

In this current environment, innovation is crucial, especially when you have a field physical therapy where demand significantly exceeds supply. Now, we also have a younger generation of physical therapists and they expect cuttingedge technology. So, we're going to discuss not only opportunities that these technologies can provide, but also some of the challenges that they present to the traditional physical therapy practice as well as practices within a physical therapy practice. So, we're going to dive into how adopting some of these technologies or even partnering with these innovative potential partners out there could improve your services as well as most importantly patient satisfaction.

We all want to believe that patients, what they really want is they want a full hour of one-on-one care with a physical therapy and that that's what they value. But I think we're seeing that that's that theory is being challenged by outcomes that are being driven by different ways in which physical therapy is being delivered. Getting the same outcomes as well as patients wanting to do their therapy on the run and on their way home from work and they want to get in, they want to get it done and they want to get out and they want to go back to their lives.

So these are some of these technologies can enable you to stay on the very cutting edge of what patients are looking for in making sure that they're getting better in the care that you're providing. Look, I think understanding these trends is absolutely ins essential and staying informed is only going to help you to make more educated and calculated decisions for your practice. So, in this series, we're going to work with you to provide that knowledge and explore how you may be able to integrate some of these innovations into your practice.

If you have some ideas and want to contribute in these discussions, I encourage you click below, let's talk and let's together use this information to build topnotch, cutting edge physical therapy practices together. Thanks. Have a great day and a great weekend.
